Since its inception, SITE Santa Fe has played a unique role as a not-for-profit institution dedicated to presenting the community, the region, and visitors to this area with contemporary and international art. SITE Santa Fe opened in 1995 with the oremise that it would organize international biennial exhibitions; however, it quickly surpassed that initial goal and currently our institution has more than 350 exhibtions to its credit. The museum also presents an array of ongoing, multidisciplinary programs, a continually evolving w3ebsite, and an extensive catalogue publication schedule.

Our biggest concern is that archived materials have become the responsibility of multiple departments. Many important materials are being stored twice using completely different systems.
